| Join us for our September Luncheon with Richard Pugmire and Peter Grant, Partners at Mercer, Blake Modersitzki, Managing Partner at Pelion Venture Partners, and Gavin Christensen Founder and General Partner of Kickstart to talk about the current state of the Venture Capital investment industry both in Utah and across the U.S. Mercer will share details from its recent research on the state of the venture capital market, Pelion and Kickstart will explore the opportunities available today regionally and nationally. The panel discussion will be moderated by Peter to address common questions today including: What’s going on with VC valuations? Can I play in the space locally/regionally, or is national focus better? Where is the focus today (e.g., Artificial Intelligence) What are current vintages looking like (2020 and after)? From entrepreneur’s perspective, how easy to access capital today? How else to fund my business? Any changes in business characteristics that VC firms now focus on (e.g., reduced emphasis today on revenue growth and more on profitability)? Debt considerations in a post SVB environment?
